WHAT IS SCLEROTHERAPY?

Sclerotherapy effectively treats varicose and spider veins in legs, hands, arms, face & other areas.  Asclera® is a sclerosing agent that is injected into the vein. It works by damaging the endothelium, the cells lining the inside of blood vessels. This causes blood platelets and cellular debris to attach to the lining of the vessels; eventually, cellular debris and platelets cause the blood vessel to clot. Over time, the clotted vein will be replaced with tissue.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?

After the sclerotherapy process, treated veins tend to fade within a few weeks to a month, and in some cases the treatment should be repeated to achieve the results you desire. Melissa Gibbens will treat and consult with you throughout the process to ensure a reduction or complete eradication of spider and varicose veins.
